our story

Life is full of humor.  It's a simple fact that the world seems to have lost sight of, but when you are aware of the humor in life everything changes. You may even find yourself much happier.  We realize that on the surface some of our designs may seem distasteful or objectionable, but that’s not the point.  The point is to laugh simply because it’s funny.  Nothing else.

We are two brothers who have been working together for the past eight years and constantly making each other laugh while doing so.  We started Unlightened to make money.  And if we can get people to laugh, that's kinda cool, too.

returns & refunds

PLEASE NOTE:  This policy only applies to purchases made through our Etsy store; any purchase(s) made on Spreadshirt are subject to their published return policy (click here to view Spreadshirt's return policy).

We truly want you to be happy with your purchase, and we're committed to doing our part to make that happen.  In order to provide you with the best service, please send us an email describing the issue and be sure to include the order details and pictures (of the item, since pictures of you or other random things probably won't be super useful). 


In the very rare case that there is an issue with the printing on your item(s) or any kind of manufacturing defect, we will work to provide either a replacement or a refund.  All requests should be made as soon as possible and must be made within 30 days of receiving the item(s).  We cannot guarantee the outcome of or be held responsible for any requests made beyond that period.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns or provide refunds for customer errors. We all make mistakes, and if you happen to make one while ordering, please contact us immediately so we can try to get it corrected.  Since, all of our products are printed on demand and we do not hold any inventory, we cannot guarantee the outcome of or be held responsible for any customer errors.  In the event that we are unable to help get an error corrected, we'll work with you to make sure you to get the right thing.
